Elk Grove, are you ready to make a SPLASH? Cosumnes CSD Parks and Recreation announced today that the Wackford Aquatic Complex and Elk Grove Aquatics Center will resume operations for Recreation Swim on July 3, just in time for the holiday weekend.
This announcement comes after the June 12 Sacramento County Public Health Order which allows public swimming pools to open, with strict social distancing and other requirements.
This weekend, July 3 - 5, Recreation Swim will be offered in two-hour sessions at the Wackford Aquatic Complex from 12 noon to 5 p.m. and at the Elk Grove Aquatics Center from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Each facility will close for one hour after the first session for cleaning and disinfecting.
Starting on Friday, July 10, Recreation Swim will be offered with a modified schedule:
Wackford Aquatic Complex (9014 Bruceville Road)
- 12 p.m. - 2 p.m.
- 3 p.m. - 5 p.m.
Elk Grove Aquatics Center (9701 Big Horn Blvd.)
- 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
- 2 p.m. - 4 p.m.
- 1 p.m. - 3 p.m.
- 4 p.m. - 6 p.m.
Capacity will be limited, so advanced registration is strongly advised. Details are available online.
Please note the pools will be closed July 6 - 9. The Jerry Fox Swim Center, located in Elk Grove Park, will remain closed for the Summer 2020 season.
Because the situation continues to evolve rapidly, the District may reevaluate and decide to modify these measures and schedules based on guidance from public health officials.
