Benefit Zone 11 - East Elk Grove, benefits from 9 parks totaling 41 acres. East Elk Grove continues to build out with future plans for Wright Park Phase 2, Derr-Okamoto Phase 2, and an eventual community center. Many parks are linked by either off-street trails or on-street bike lanes.
Benefit Zone East Elk Grove is known for its wide variety of parks with many high-use assets.

Listed below are the 2019-2020 fiscal year projects staff anticipate completing. Projects are subject to change due to weather and/or unforeseen budgetary changes.
Softball/baseball infields at Simpson and Strong Parks will be graded and leveled prior to the start of the spring season.
Ballfield fences at Strong Park will be repaired or replaced.
The multipurpose field at Derr-Okamoto Park will go offline for renovation.
Landscape bark will be applied to planter beds in areas where the landscape bark has thinned out.
Landscape renovations to replace missing or poor performing plants, resulting in beautified CSD landscape areas.
PebbleFlex playground surface repairs will be completed at Wright Park.
Irrigation upgrades will be made at Berens and Miles Parks.
The restroom floors at Derr-Okamoto and Strong Parks will be resealed.
Two shade sails at Derr-Okamoto Park will be replaced.
The poured in place (PIP) playground surfaces at Berens and Lewis Parks will be resealed.
Playground Engineered Wood Fiber will be added to parks where needed to maintain a safe depth.
