Yes, Active Net is secure. Active Net is a more sophisticated system which supports increasingly strict protocols around protection of personal data and protection against hackers. Active Net is fully compliant with Payment Card Industry (PCI) standards. In addition, the District will transition to credit card "chip readers" and electronic signatures at registration sites.
