Park surveys were mailed to residents residing in the Elk Grove/West Vineyard (Benefit Zone 3) and Central Elk Grove (Benefit Zone 6) on November 9. This survey is to gauge property owner’s willingness to increase their Landscape and Lighting annual assessment to pay for the increased cost of maintenance of local parks and streetscape areas within Benefit Zones 3 and 6.
Staff will present survey results at a future CSD Board Meeting and receive direction from the Board of Directors whether to conduct a local funding measure balloting process as required by Proposition 218 (PDF). If directed to proceed with a local funding measure balloting process, an informational campaign will be conducted including public outreach meetings.
The 2017-18 Park Operations budget is funded by Landscape and Lighting assessments.
