Retirement of CSD General Manager Jeff Ramos

Jeff Ramos

The Cosumnes CSD would like to recognize Jeff Ramos for 23 years of service to the community and extend best wishes to him on the occasion of his retirement on November 9, 2017.

Jeff received a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from California State University Sacramento and has been a Certified Public Accountant for over 20 years. A Marin County native, Jeff settled in the Sacramento area after college where he began his career in public service working as an Internal Financial Auditor with the County of Sacramento.

Jeff Ramos started working for the CSD in November of 1994 as the Administrative Services Director in charge of Human Resources and Administration. He served as Administrative Services Director and Chief Operating Officer before accepting the role of General Manager in January 2010.

Jeff was instrumental in leading the CSD through the economic downturn. He implemented strategies to ensure financial stability with minimum impact to services and the community, while preserving staff jobs and the same high level of service residents expected.

Jeff demonstrated leadership, professionalism, devotion, enthusiasm and humility that provided an exemplary model for staff to follow. His dedication to the District, the communities it serves, and its staff is evident and very much appreciated.

Jeff has been married for 33 years to his college sweetheart Kathy and has two adult children, Hunter and Courtney. Jeff is looking forward to spending time traveling with his wife and running the many trails and roads of the US, and perhaps even internationally.

Congratulations on your retirement, Jeff Ramos!
